After the infrared detector converts the received infrared radiation into electrical signals, these signals need to undergo a series of processing steps to generate a visible thermal imaging image.
Signal Amplification and Digitization
The electrical signals output by the detector are usually very weak and need to be amplified by an amplification circuit. The amplified signals are then converted into digital signals via an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) to facilitate subsequent digital processing.
Image Processing
The digital signals are processed by image processing algorithms to generate a digital image corresponding to the temperature distribution of the object. These algorithms typically include steps such as noise suppression, contrast enhancement, and pseudo-color processing to improve the image quality and readability.
